  • Postpartum pads or adult diapers (yes, really!)
  • Witch hazel pads or sprays for soothing perineal discomfort
  • Ice packs or padsicles for swelling relief
  • Nursing bras and comfy clothes that are soft and easy to access
  • Pain relievers or stool softeners (check with your provider)

  • A safe sleep space (crib, bassinet, or sidecar) with a firm mattress and fitted sheet

  • A baby carrier or wrap so you can keep baby close while staying hands-free
  • A sound machine to create a calming sleep environment
